Debi Elliott LPC, BCB, BCN

Graduated in 1994 from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, with a Master of Arts degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology. She came to Boulder in 1989 for a Neurolinguistic training and “missed” her flight back home. It was that easy to keep her here.

Debi Elliott (AKA Debora Joy Elliott) comes from a psychotherapy family in Toledo, Ohio. Her father and mother continue to run their Toledo Psychotherapy group practice Elliott & Associates Inc. back in Ohio.  Debi continues to be associated with her parents’ psychotherapy institute as a QEEG brain mapping interpreter and diagnostics specialist.

Her QEEG brain mapping skills come from the four years (1998-2002) that she worked as Clinical Coordinator for Lexicor, the first leading manufacturer of QEEG equipment, at that time located in Boulder, Colorado.

Debi provided EEG neurofeedback through Lexicor’s Neuropath Center, helped doctors and other clinicians with QEEG interpretations and treatment recommendations, and gave them technical support for their QEEG equipment.  It was in this capacity that she connected into the close knit global network of QEEG scientists and leading practitioners.

Debi currently hosts a monthly “Neurofeedback Salon” for her colleagues in Boulder and the greater Denver area. The salon facilitates the exchange of ideas and skills to increase the overall quality and recognition of Neurofeedback in the psychotherapy field.

In 1990 she led week long Natural Vision Quest retreats in Colorado, Arizona and Baja California, Mexico. These Vision Quests are spiritual survival experiences, in which the participants are left alone in nature after being taught outdoor survival, meditation and emotional releasing skills.
